Elsie W. Laisure, 83
Warren - Elsie W. (LaPlante) Laisure, 83, died peacefully on June 22, 2015 after a long illness.
She leaves her seven children, Alfred Smith of Warren, Edward Smith and his wife Leah of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul Smith of Ludlow, Michael Smith and his wife Julie of Warren, Kelly Anderson and her husband Russell of Warren, George Smith and his wife Mary Jo of Orlando, FL and Suzanne Smith of Voluntown, CT; her sister, Leona Wrobel of Warren; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several niece and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, H. Marie Rearick and a brother Edward LaPlante. She was born in Ware, MA daughter of the late George E. and Wanda (Mazur) LaPlante and lived most of her life in Warren.
Mrs. Laisure worked as a clerk for 21 years at the former Monson Developmental Center in Palmer before retiring.
A Funeral Mass for Elsie will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Emmanuel Orthodox Church, 25 Winthrop Terrace in Warren. There are no calling hours and burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Warren. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
