Warren/New Bedford - Elsie P. (Pacheco) Martin, 94, of East Rd., died Friday, November 21, 2014.
She leaves two sons, James Martin and his wife Mary of Warren and David Martin and his wife Cornelia of Wayland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Manuel Martin, a daughter Cheryl and several siblings. She was born and grew up in New Bedford daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Alvarez) Pacheco and lived throughout Massachusetts before moving back to Warren last June.
Mrs. Martin worked for many years for the former Delmar Company in New Bedford and then for Gavitt Wire & Cable Company in Brookfield before retiring.
Elsie enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
A Funeral Mass for Elsie will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the Sacred Heart Church in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in West Brookfield. A Calling hour will be held prior to the Mass from 9 to 10 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Burial will be held at a later date in New Bedford.
