Wales - Fernand Gagne, 82, of Wales, MA, died on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
He leaves his two sons, Robert Gagne and his wife Kelly of Feeding Hills, and Robin Gagne of Milford, CT; his grandson, Christopher Gagne; and four beloved sisters, Alma Sheldra, Gabrielle Page, Margaret Meunier, and Marie and her husband Roger Raboin. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Gendron) Gagne in 2005. He was born in Roxton Pond, Quebec, son of the late Armand and Margurite (Bourbonnierre) Gagne. He grew up in North Troy, Vermont, and lived in Ellington, CT for 35 years, and Stafford, CT for 10 years, prior to moving to Wales several years ago.
Fernand worked as a Dairy Farmer for some of the local dairy farms in the area prior to retiring in 1998. He enjoyed working on small engines and liked to do freshwater fishing.
A Graveside Service for Fernand and Betty will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Lowell, VT. There are no calling hours. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
