West Brookfield- Florence E. Henry, 85, of West Brookfield, lovingly known as Pinky, Flo, and Nana, passed away at rose Monahan Hospice Home on April 29, 2026 with her daughters Gail Giguer and Karan Oberg by her side. Born July 9th, 1940, she was the daughter of Evelyn and John Silas of Lowell MA.

She was the proud Mother of four children, Gail Giguer, Richard Henry, John Henry, and Karan Oberg. She resided at 25 Birch Street in West Brookfield with her partner of 52 years, Steven banister (Stevie). She had eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, whom she adored.

Florence loved the beaches of Maine and spent many years there with her grandchildren. She loved long rides with Steve, going out to eat, not to mention her love of Walmart. She loved her sweatshirts to the point where her collection included nearly 90.

“Dearest Mom, I will miss our weekly phone calls… even though I had to shout every word for you to hear me. We always had to buy you a gift card for special occasions. In your words you didn’t need anything.”

Calling hours for Florence will be held on Tuesday May 5th, from 5PM-7PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 E Main Street West Brookfield, MA 01585. A graveside service will be held the following day, Wednesday May 6th, at 11:30AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, 41 Church street, West Brookfield, MA 01585.
