Stafford Springs-Frederick J. Levesque, 84, passed away on February 3rd, at Fox Hill Center in Vernon. He leaves his wife Harriet (McCloskey) Levesque, his sons Frederick Jr. and his wife Kim, Daniel and his wife Joanne, a daughter Kathleen Garofolo and her husband Alfred, his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Garofolo and Jennifer and Krista Levesque, and a step great grandchild Lexi Rose Kelley, as well as some very special nephews and nieces. Fred was born in Easthampton Ma., son of Joseph and Rose (Skowyra) Levesque and grew up in Ware Ma., living in Stafford Springs for last several years. He was a graduate of Ware High School, where he excelled on the football team. He Served in the US Army during the Korean War. A mason by trade he was a maintenance supervisor for the Connecticut State Prison System for 25 years. He was a 60 year member of American Legion Post #123 of Ware, the Italian Benefit Society of Stafford. Fred enjoyed summers on the Cape, winters in Florida and golfing at the Harwich CC. He was an avid Red Sox, Patriot and UConn Women's Basketball, but most of all he enjoyed home and family. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday Feb. 15th at 11am in All Saints Church, 17 North St. Ware Ma. Burial will follow in St. William Cemetery.
