Warren - George J. La Palm of Warren, passed away, surrounded by the love of his family in Springfield on October 19, 2022 at the age of 84.George was born to John and Anna (Charbonneau) La Palm in West Warren, on November 1, 1937.
He will be mourned by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie (Yokel) La Palm. George will also be deeply missed by his son, Edward and former wife, Melissa of Warren, and daughter, Tina Marie La Palm-Barber, and her husband, Robert, of Warren. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. George also leaves behind his sister, Marie Thurber, and her husband, Donald, of Sturbridge.
George enlisted in the Army when he was 19 and when he came back from serving his time as a engineer, he met the love of his life, Marie. He was passionate about being a master machinist, but his true love was being a family man. George will forever be remembered for being in the outdoors, fishing, gardening, or walking his sweet Pomeranian, Brienna.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11am in St. Paul's Church in Warren. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am in the church prior to mass. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Paul's Cemetery after mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 313 Washington Street, Suite 310.
