George C. Morin

George Charlie Morin, 91 of West Warren, passed away on January 1, 2023. He was born in Ware, attended Ware Public Schools and also was a member of St. Mary's Drum Corps. George was drafted into the Army in 1952 and served until 1954. Serving during his 2 years in the Army, he attended Airborne School in Ft. Benning, Georgia and Special Forces in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He retired from Monson State Developmental Center after 20 years.



George leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Laura (Morin) Shallis, his brothers, Albert and Louis Morin, and his parents, Ernest and Malvina Morin.



Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.  Services will be held privately.
