Springfield - Geraldine B. (Pelletier) Heffner, 59, of Springfield, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 following an illness.
She leaves her husband, William C. Heffner; a sister, Lynn Conteh of North Carolina; her brothers, Robert Pelletier of New Hampshire and Brian Pelletier of Vermont; her sister-in-law, Jacqueline L. Heffner of Springfield; her best friends, Sylvia Cusson and Brown, as well as her chihuahua, PeeWee, and her cats, Momma, Patches, and Tigger. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Bernard and Cynthia (Papillon) Pelletier.
Geraldine did not let her small stature stop her from doing what she loved. She obtained her CDL and drove 18-wheel tractor trailers, worked as a machine operator at Tube Manufacturing, as well as a nurse's aide at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. She enjoyed all of her pets and playing bingo, as was always up for a trip to Foxwoods.
At her request, services of Geraldine will be held privately. Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting her family with arrangements.
