Gloria J. (King) Beyer, 71, of Springfield died on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Wingate at Wilbraham.
She leaves her husband of 25 years, Richard A. Beyer; her long-time best friend, Charlene Jourbert of Springfield; her sister-in-law, Barbara Beyer, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Harold and Marion (Fedler) King, and has lived in Springfield for over 50 years.
Gloria worked as an office clerk at the Wall Street Journal in Chicopee for 37 years, before retiring in 2002.
Along with Richard, Gloria enjoyed going to the casino - she didn't always win, but knew her limit.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:30AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30AM prior to the service. Burial will be in New St. William Cemetery in Ware following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
