It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Gloria “Francine” Crevier, 77, on Thursday, June 18, 2026. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Family was the center of her life. She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Lawrence “Larry” Crevier; her 3 beloved daughters who were her greatest pride and joy: Angela Oelmann of Iowa, Brenda Scibelli of Ware and Jamie Crevier-Szczakowski; 2 cherished grandsons who brought endless happiness to her heart: Gianna Scibelli and Wyatt Szczakowski; her brothers: Raymond Rivard of Vermont and Norman Rivard of Connecticut; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her sister Madeline Charon predeceased her. Francine's love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain with them always.
Francine was born and raised in Ware. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Laurette (Pruneau) Rivard. She and Larry were high school sweethearts and both graduated from Ware High School in 1967.
Francine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives. She was a loving and generous woman who dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse at Mary Lane Hospital for most of her career. Her compassion, intelligence, and gentle spirit made her a source of comfort and strength for everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to put others before herself and would do anything for anyone in need.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially playing cards with family and friends and traveling on family trips. Those who knew Francine will remember her sweet nature, generous heart and endless devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
All are invited to her calling hours on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 12pm to 2pm at Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street, Ware, MA 01082 with a funeral service to begin at 12pm in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
