Goldie R. Dyess

Ware / Calhan, CO - Goldie R. (Stout) Dyess, 90, of Ware, died on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.

She leaves her son, David R. Dyess and his wife Kelly Lynn of Ware; her daughters, Debra L. Kullman of Falcon, Colorado, and Kelly D. Dyess of Tempe, AZ as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James W. Dyess in 2018, as well as her infant son, Steven. She was born in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and lived in Calhan, Colorado with James for close to 40 years prior to moving to Ware in 2014.

Goldie worked as a Postal Clerk for several years in Calhan prior to retiring.

Her family would like to gratefully acknowledge and thank everyone at Quaboag for the wonderful care and company that they provided to Goldie over these past few years.

Goldie will be interred in Calhan Cemetery, Calhan, Colorado next to James.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Team Fidelis, 9218 Metcalf Ave., Suite 203, Overland Park, KS 66212 or at teamfidelis.org/donate.  Team Fidelis' mission is to end the epidemic of veteran suicide by raising awareness, and providing a bridge of hope and building camaraderie.
