Gordon G. LaFond, 63
Ware - Gordon G. LaFond, 63, of Old Belchertown Rd., died Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Cathy A. (Serwa) LaFond; one son, Jesse LaFond of Ware; two daughters, Jill Laboy and her husband Carlos of Holyoke and Heather LaFond of Ware; two brothers, Wayne LaFond of West Brookfield and Gary LaFond; two grandchildren, Tyler and Janiah and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Norman LaFond, Jr. He was born and grew up in Holyoke, son of the late Norman and Lois (Agin) LaFond and has lived in Ware for 35 years.
Mr. Lafond worked 15 years for a Plastic Manufacturing Company in Palmer and then 12 years at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
He was a United States Army Veteran and loved fishing and hunting.
Funeral Services for Gordon will be held privately and burial with Military Honors will be in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105. Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
