Harold L. Giguere, 82
Spencer - Harold L. Giguere, 82, died Friday, January 22, 2016 in Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.
He leaves two sons, Kevin Giguere and Marlene of Spencer, and Harold Giguere and Jana of Boston; a granddaughter Delaney; two brothers, William and Anna Lou of East Hartford, CT and Robert and Jeanne of West Brookfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna P. (Chapman), a brother Paul and two sisters, Claire and Lucille. He was born in East Brookfield, son of the late William and Evelyn (Gaudette) Giguere and lived most of his life in East Brookfield before moving to Spencer.
Mr. Giguere was a manager at the former Hodes Supermarket in Spencer and then at Honey Farms before going to work as a machine operator for 18 years for FLEXcon in Spencer before retiring.
He was a decorated United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of the Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church in Spencer and loved to go bowling.
A Funeral Service for Harold will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 3 to 4 PM in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer.
