Ware - Harold F. Smith of Ware passed on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Vantage Health & Rehab at Hampden at the age of 94. Harold was born to Wayne and Esther (Tucker) Smith on December 10, 1928 in Palmer.
He will be missed by his wife of 38 years, Jacqueline R. Smith of Ware. He will also be mourned by his son, Scott Smith and wife Ivone of Palmer, Craig Smith and wife Denise of Palmer, and daughter, Debra Messina of Monson. Harold is survived by his step-son, Todd McVeigh of Watervliet, NY,and step-daughter, Melissa M. Syriac of Ware. He is predeceased by his son, Randy Smith. He also leaves 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Harold spent 43 years working in Palmer at Contech Engineered Solutions, formerly known as New England Metal Culverts. When Harold wasn't working hard as a fork lift operator, you could find him in the great outdoors, hunting or hiking throughout Quabbin.
