Henry J. Morrissette

Ware - Henry J. Morrissette, 85, of Ware, died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center following a brief period of declining health.

He leaves two daughters, Gail A. Glassbrenner, and Lynne Foley and her husband Herb, both of Ware;  two sons, Marc Morrissette and his wife Ann of Ware, and Roger Morrissette and his wife Rosanna of West Brookfield; a brother, Norman Morrissette, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Germaine (Paquette) Morrissette, and his daughter, Audrey Hansen.  He was born in Fall River, son of the late Edmund and Rose (Thibodeau) Morrissette, and has lived in Ware for 75 years.

Henry was the Store Manager of the former A&P Grocery Market in Ware.   Along with Germaine, they were the owner's of Janine's Frostee for 30 years, before retiring earlier this year. He enjoyed talking with people, and was a hard worker who never stopped.  He was at Janine's daily, working up until just a few months ago.

Mr. Morrissette was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Services for Henry will be held privately.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
