Palmer-Henry R. West, 80, passed away on Monday Oct. 5th in Wilbraham. He leaves his wife Claire M. (Phaneuf) West, his daughter Ann Banas and her husband John of Belchertown, his grandchildren Joshua and Samuel Banas of Belchertown, his brother-in-law Robert Phaneuf and his wife Cecile of Spencer, as well as nephews and nieces. He was born in Ware son of George and Rachel (Twible) West and lived in Ware, moving to Palmer in 1962. He worked as a pressman for Turley Publications for 50 years. Henry served in the Mass. National Guard. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed traveling, gardening and his cars. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday Oct. 8th at 11am at the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. in Ware. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 264 Cottage St. Springfield MA 01104.
