James C. Hamill, 84
Warren - James C. Hamill, 84, of Maple St., died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Shirley M. Hamill; three sons, Craig Hamill and his wife Gail of Palm Bay, FL, Mark Hamill and his wife Kelley of Woodstock, CT, and Brian Hamill and his wife Linda of Warren; one daughter, Beth Simmons and her husband Matthew of Brookfield; a sister, Frances Blomquist of Windsor Locks, CT nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Scott Hamill in 1995. He was born and grew up in Worcester, son of the late Edgar J. and Ruth H. (Bennett) Hamill and has lived in Warren since 1960.
Mr. Hamill worked as mechanic for Sikorsky Aircraft in Bridgeport, CT, and then worked over 40 years at the William E. Wright, Co. in West Warren as a printer and lithographer before retiring in 1999.
Mr. Hamill was a United State Air Force veteran of the Korean war, serving as a Mechanic on B36 aircraft.
James was a past Master of the Quaboag Lodge of Masons and the Warren Thief Detecting Society.
Funeral Services for James will be held privately. There are no calling hours and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
