Warren- Jane L. Fountain, 95, of Warren passed away on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at Baystate Wing hospital in Palmer, with her loving family by her side. Jane was born in Ware to the late Morton and Marjorie (Adams) Sampson. Jane graduated from Warren Highschool in 1948, and attended Springfield Community College where she earned a degree in business. She then worked for over 34 years at Warren Pumps as an administrative assistant in the sales department. She was also a proud member of the Professional Secretaries of Springfield for many years. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in West Brookfield and served as a deacon, as well as contributing to many committees over the years. She and her husband Alfred owned and operated Quaboag Tours in Warren for over 25 years, and enjoyed traveling to many countries across Europe. She and her husband made a lasting impact in their community by giving residence of Warren the opportunity to see the world.

Jane is predeceased by her husband and best friend of 64 years Alfred A Fountain, and her sister Lois M. Shephard of Warren. She is survived by her sister Carolyn Herrin of Yulee Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Jane will be held on Tuesday April 14th, from 5PM-7PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 E Main Street, West Brookfield. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday April 15th, at 9:30AM in the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield, 36 North Main Street West Brookfield. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren, 26 Pine Grove Drive, Warren. Following the burial, all are welcome to a Celebration of life for Jane back at the First Congregational Church.
