Janet Robbins

Janet  (Oberg)  Robbins, 74, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2016 after battling cancer for several months. She was born on March 4, 1942 in Ware to the late Oke and Jenny (Dziok) Oberg. She was a lifelong Ware resident , she graduated from Ware High School in 1960. Over the years, she worked for Mary Lane Hospital, the Ware Housing Authority, and Ludlow Central Bakery. Janet was a marvelous cook who enjoyed caring for, entertaining and visiting her family. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and playing cards. Janet is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years Bernard "Bernie" Robbins, her sons Barry Robbins and his wife Jane of North Brookfield, and Craig  Robbins and his wife Becky of Thorndike,  granddaughters, Amber Robbins of Newport VT,  Ashley Robbins of Schertz TX,  and a step-grand daughter Alicia (Suki) Girard, and a great granddaughter Gwendalyn  of Newport. She also leaves her sisters Betty (Oberg) Bousquet, and Ellen (Oberg) Deslauriers both in Ware, and her sister-in-law Joan Brouillette of Gilbertville. She was predeceased by her son Glen Robbins and her brothers Jack and Leland Oberg. A Private Funeral Service will be at the convenience of her family at the Charbonneau Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the United Church of Ware, 49 Church St. Ware MA 01082.
