Framingham / Brookfield - Jean V. (Arnold) Gzikowski, 68, of Framingham, died on August 24, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, following a brief period of declining health.
She leaves her daughter, Debora A. Maxwell and her husband Edward of Brookfield; three brothers, Edward, Frederick and William Arnold, as well as two nieces and several nephews.
Jean was a bookkeeper and customer service associate for Staples, Inc. in Framingham for most of her career.
Like Deb and Ed, Jean had a special fondness for Greyhounds. She started a small business, Grammie's Jammies, where she designed and hand-made body coats for them. "Warm Hounds, Warm Hearts" was her business motto. She will be missed by all her knew her in her Greyhound community of friends - a sad moon howl could definitely be heard after the news of her death.
Funeral Services for Jean will be held privately at her request. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in her memory to: The Grammie's Jammies Fund, c/o North Brookfield Savings Bank, 35 Summer Street, North Brookfield, MA 01535. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
