West Brookfield - Jeanne G. (Vezina) Giguere, 81, of Allen St., died November 2, 2017 at The Reserve at East Longmeadow surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert E. Giguere, her children, Brian Giguere of San Diego, CA and Sharon Jones and her husband Keith of Palmer; her grandchildren, Mathew Jones and his wife Akiko of Nagoya, Japan, Curtis Jones of Wareham and Daniel Jones of South Hadley and her sisters Theresa Lupacchino and Priscilla Kulas, both of West Brookfield. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Vezina. Jeanne was born in Ware, daughter of the late Elmer C. and Alice G. Vezina.
She retired from Quaboag on the Common in 2006 after more than thirty years in office operations. Previous to that she was employed at the Capital Yeast Company as a bookkeeper. She graduated from Wards Secretarial School in 1973 and from Warren High School in 1953.
A Funeral Mass for Jeanne will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in West Brookfield, followed by graveside prayer at the parish cemetery and a reception in the Fr. Dugan Parish Center. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 819 Worcester Street, Springfield, MA 01151 or to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, alz.org. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
