Hardwick, MA / Newport, VT. - Joan M. Seyer, 84, of Newport, Vermont passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018 in Newport ?, VT?. She was born on September 30, 1933 in Ware, Massachusetts to William ?Delargy ?and Sophie (Latwis) ?Tracey?. She married Roger J. Seyer who predeceased her.

?Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family was first and foremost in her life. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed finishing furniture, antiquing, cooking and baking. She was very involved with ?the Catholic Church and taught CCD and helped to raise funds for the Catholic Charities Organization at her parish on Cape Cod. ? She was ?also ?a member of the Trinity Parish, St Paul's Catholic Church in Barton.

?Joan grew up in Hardwick, MA on the family dairy farm. Joan and Roger later moved to Cape Cod for about 10 years and then settled in Vermont, where she spent her last 30 plus years.?

She is survived by her children: Maureen A. Lehouillier of Newport Center, VT, Sheila ?F. ?Sinclaire and her husband Bruce of Cohasset, MA, and Nora ?J. ?Seyer of Mansfield, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather A. Le?f?ebvre of Milton, VT, Graham ?K. ?Sinclaire of N?ew ?Y?ork City?, NY, Mollie ?S. ?Sinclaire of Cohasset, MA, and Jared P?.? Lehouillier of Newport Center, VT, by her siblings: Helen ?(Babe) ?Bessette of Ware, MA, ? John Delargy and his wife Peggy of Ware, MA, William Tracey and his wife Linda of Texas, and Norene Whiteley of Stafford Spring, CT and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Roger J. Seyer, her sister Ann Comstock, her brother-in-law Ernest Bessette and her ?son-in-laws, Paul Lehouillier and Scott Powers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 15, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barre, MA where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Barre, MA. Charbonneau Funeral Home in Ware, MA is in charge of arrangements.
