Joe Orzek, 83
Ware – Joe Orzek, 83, of Ware, died on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in his home with his devoted wife and daughter with him.
Joe was a United States Coast Guard Veteran who along with a close friend, enlisted when they were 21, and served our country for four years.
Joe was a talented artist in both painting and sculpture. At one time, he and Clare owned and operated a small business that sold their art across the country.
Joe always had a clever sense of humor his entire lifetime. He was patient, kind, and could always make you smile. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening around his home, cooking and baking new recipes with Clare, and being competitive during family game night. Joe always found a way to make his family laugh and feel loved each and every day.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Clare Orzek; his daughters, Loura Beaudette and her husband Jeary of Ware, and Victoria Knolton and her husband Scott of Palmer; four grandchildren, Ammelia Racicot and her husband Alex, Olivia Bousquet and her husband, Tyler, Ursula Knolton, and Flora Knolton, as well as one great-grandchild, Adelaide Bousquet. He was born in Ware, son of the late Joseph S. and Helen (Tishkevich) Orzech.
From teaching his grandchildren how to ride a bike, how to grow the best tomatoes, how to make the most delicious banana bread, and how to love your family, Joe gave each of them a special part of himself they will never forget. Please keep Joe and his family in your memory and prayers.
Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with his arrangements. An online tribute page is available at charbonneaufh.com
