Ware - John J. DeSantis, 65, of Palmer Road, died peacefully on June 3, 2017, at his home.
He is survived by his brother Gasper F. DeSantis, Jr. and his wife Trudy of Ware, his sister Patricia Squires of Belchertown, his daughter Celine DeSantis of Palmer, a nephew David Squires, and niece Katie Falvo, as well as his extended aunts, uncles, and members of the DeSantis family. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Herbie Squires in 2015. John was born on October 1, 1951 in Chicopee, son of the late Gasper F. and Mildred (Podbelski) DeSantis, and was a life-long resident of Ware.
John was a graduate of Holyoke Community College, with an Associates Degree in Accounting, and the University of Massachusetts, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Dan O'Connell & Sons Construction Co., in Springfield, and also as a laborer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mr. DeSantis was a proud communicant of All Saint's Parish in Ware for many years. He enjoyed cooking, long rides in the country, and working on his vehicles in the garage.
A Funeral Service for John will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., Ware. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11AM prior to the service. Burial will be in New St. William Cemetery.
