John Wesley Varnum, 32, of the Spencer area, passed away on May 20, 2025, after a long struggle with mental illness and addiction.
He leaves his mother Cheryl Wolf; his three brothers, Casey Lee, Charles and Kevin Bastien, his significant other, Tiffany Chobot, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friend John DeLisle and his beloved dog Nala. John was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Carl and Janet Varnum, his uncle Carl, Jr. and uncle Alan, his aunt Ann, and his father, Wesley Finch Varnum.
John was an exceptional tattoo artist, defender of animals and lover of nature. He loved camping and hiking. He liked to express himself with his drawings and artistry. He liked to invent cool things, "Fractured fairy tale MacGyver." His family and loved ones are grateful, even in their heartache, for the outpouring of love and support. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at a later date.
