Joseph Lionel Taylor

Palmer - Joseph Lionel Taylor, 80, of Palmer, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Joe was born on March 16, 1943 to the late George and Lilian (Goudreau) Taylor in Ludlow.
He will be forever missed by his wife of 42 years, Wendy (Dubay) Taylor. Joe will be mourned by his sons, James Taylor and his wife Amanda of Palmer, Raymond Taylor and his wife Jen of Ware, and his daughter, Tina Santaniello of Pittsfield. He is survived by his Brother, Bobby Taylor of Palmer, and sisters, Junie Taylor of Swanson, NH, Joan Niejadlik of Belchertown, and Nancy McDonnell of Warren. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Roland, Olivia, Michael, Kelly, Cassidy, and Jacob. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond and Peter Taylor.
Joe was a very proud mechanic, specializing in transmissions. He owned J&W in Ludlow and also worked at places such as A , Stop & Go and AmCo. Joe also loved his motorcycles and simply tinkering on anything he could. In his later years, he could be found in a chair outside, preferrable under his peach or apple tree, or tending to his tomato plants. In addition to being a great gardener, he was an avid hunter of birds and deer. Joe's biggest accomplishment was being a father to his children and a proud husband.
Calling hours will be held from 3-5pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street, in Ware.
