Joyce L. Holton

Sturbridge - Joyce L. (Haskell) Holton, 97, formally of Plymouth, died on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.



She leaves two daughters, Deborah J. Richt of Sturbridge, and Betsey L. Wheeler of Worcester; one son, Barry P. Holton and his wife Kimberly of Port Charlotte, Florida; a daughter-in-law Karen Holton of Orlando; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Alton D. Holton in 1994, her son Donald in 2015, and her son-in-law Peter Richt, as well as seven brothers and two sisters.  Joyce was born in Alexandria, NH, daughter of the late Paul R. and Pearl (Bailey) Haskell.  She lived in Quincy for 27 years, prior to moving to Plymouth where she lived for over 40 years.



At Joyce's request services will be held privately.  Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with her husband.  Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
