Laura F. Garceau, 93, of Ware passed peacefully at home on Monday, September 21st, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.

Laura was raised in Berlin Vermont, along with her 5 siblings and graduated from Spaulding High School in Barre, class of 1950. In her free time, Laura was a proud member of the Mirror Lake Grange in Berlin Vermont; as well as Girl Scouts and 4H Clubs in Vermont.

Laura moved to the Ware area and began working for Cascade Diamond in Thorndike, for 30 years, as a quality control supervisor as well as a lab technician. She met Henry, her husband of 54 years, at Cascade Diamond. They married in 1972 and brought their family up, in a home they built together, in Ware.

While work was important to her, so was vacation time. She and Henry vacationed with the family to Hampton Beach, Hershey and Lake George. In addition, she and Henry enjoyed several cruises to various destinations. She was a devout Catholic and took pride in her involvement at United Church of Ware, and All Saints Parish in Ware

In addition to her husband Henry, Laura leaves her children Wesley Bigelow Jr., Timothy Bigelow, Russell Bigelow, Lynn Garceau, Bruce Garceau, and Tammy Garceau. Todd Garceau predeceased her. She also leaves eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, as well as her brother, Floyd Blodgett Sr., and sister Ethel “Sue” Blodgett. Laura is predeceased by her brothers Nelson Blodgett, Wayne Blodgett Sr., and her sister Faith Blodgett. Laura was born in Berlin Vermont to the late Vilus and Pearl (Edwards) Blodgett.

Calling Hours for Laura will be held on Tuesday, September 29, from 9:30am-11:00am in All Saints Parish, 17 North Street Ware MA 01082. A Funeral Mass will be held in the church at 11am, burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 11 Crescent Street, Ware MA 01082.
