Lauretta C. Smith

Ware---Lauretta  C. (Comeau) Smith, 87, formerly of Ware, passed away on Monday July 13, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. She was the wife of the late George Smith. She leaves her brother Leo  Comeau and his wife Elaine of Springfield, her nieces, Anita Pigeon of Monson, Donna Blomfield of Springfield, Debi Farnham of Wilbraham, a nephew James Comeau of Newington CT,  as well as many great and great-great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Anita Meserve of Springfield. She was born in Ware daughter of Leo and Nolia (Deschenes) Comeau and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Ware High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for H.P. Cummings Construction, and had worked as an operator for New England Telephone Co. She was a communicant of All Saints Church, was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Ware Senior Center and the VFW Auxiliary of Ware. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 17th,  at 11am in All Saints Church, 17 North St. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 9:30  to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.
