West Brookfield - Lawrence I. Kearney, Jr., 69, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Marlatt) Kearney; a son, Michael Kearney of Ware; a daughter, Jennifer Putis and her husband Shawn of Warren; his mother, Constance Kearney of Hudson; a brother Terence Kearney and his wife Judith of Hudson; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Mars Hill, Maine son of the late Lawrence I. Kearney and grew up in Ashland and later lived in Framingham before moving to West Brookfield in 1986.
Mr. Kearney worked for many years for Digital Equipment and then as a quality control inspector for the David Clark Company for 20 years before retiring in 2011.
He enjoyed fly fishing and was a member of the Nenameseck Gun Club in Ware.
A Funeral Service for Lawrence will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
