West Warren – Leroy E. Paro, 53, of West Warren, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.
Leroy leaves behind his sisters, Peggy Paro of Bradenton, FL, Dee Marsh of New Port Richey, FL, and Janice Farnham and her husband Jeffrey of Gardiner, ME. He also leaves his five nieces and nephews, his good friend and caretaker, Amber Strait and her daughter, Emma; as well as his friendly feline buddy, Gizmo or “Giz,” and many of his cherished friends. Leroy was born in Ware, son of the late Linwood A. Paro and Nancy J. (Densmore) Chaisson.
Leroy was truly a jack of all trades, and he was the kind of man who would put all others’ needs before his own. He owned and operated his own painting and construction, and he took on jobs in all facets of construction – very much a creative guy. He was an excellent cook, and he became known for always bringing over something delicious. He was a fisherman and loved teaching others how to fish – especially kids who wanted to learn, just as he had learned as a kid. He enjoyed the company of his many friends and was well known for his unique sense of humor. Leroy loved his nieces and nephews, Amber’s daughter Emma, and Gizmo very much, and he will be deeply missed. His family and Amber are very grateful to all of those who have been there for Leroy throughout this journey.
Services for Leroy will be held privately at a later date.
Charbonneau Funeral home is honored to have served the Paro family.
