Lester was born in and grew up in Brookfield, and has lived in Alaska for over 60 years. He worked in general construction, and was a rugged outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and did woodcarving as a hobby.
Mr. Grimes is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps., serving during the Korean War.
A Memorial Service for Lester will be held at 11AM on Satuday, November 3, 2018, in the Brookfield Congregational Church, 8 Central Street, in Brookfield.
