Brookfield
BROOKFIELD: Linda A. Miner, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas R. Miner; her children, Jeffrey T. Miner and his wife, Jessica, of Palmer, and Lesley A. Churchey and her husband, Lee, of East Brookfield; her cherished grandchildren, Natalie Miner, Hannah Miner, Larissa Churchey, and Lindsey Churchey; her siblings, Charles Lyons and his wife, Deborah, of North Brookfield, and Sally David and her husband, Fred, of Brookfield; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Linda was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara E. (Burns) Lyons. She was a graduate of North Brookfield High School and began her working career as a secretary for the Asbestos Textile Company. It was then that she met Tom, and the two soon married and began their life together. They settled in North Brookfield, where they raised their family.
Linda found her greatest fulfillment in being a devoted wife and mother. As a stay-at-home mother, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children and family. She also had a generous heart and lovingly opened her home to care for the children of family and friends, creating a warm and welcoming place where many felt loved and cared for.
Linda had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She loved tending to her gardens and took great delight in watching the hummingbirds that visited the homemade sugar water she lovingly prepared for them. She treasured time spent with family and friends, summer vacations on Cape Cod and in Ogunquit, Maine, relaxing days at the beach, memorable cruises, and experiencing the beauty of New England through each of its four seasons.
Above all, Linda will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her loving presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and the memories she created with her family and friends will be cherished for years to come.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's memory may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704. Hagerstown, MD 21741.
