Lorena B. Gadbois

North Brookfield - Lorena B. (Leas) Gadbois, 67, of North Brookfield, died on Monday, February 1, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.


She leaves her husband of 44 years, Raymond H. Gadbois; her two daughters, Megan R. Gadbois and her husband Scott and Nicole Litchfield and her husband Chris Sr., all of North Brookfield; her brother, Gene Leas and his wife Lois of Ware. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Joseph and Thomas Cleveland, Raymond, Chris Jr. and Emily Litchfield; her nieces, Michelle and her husband Michael, Jennifer and her husband Paul, and Jeanette; her nephews, William and his wife Holly and Michael and his wife Cindy, plus many great nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her baby sister, Wendy (Leas) Daines in 2015.  She was born in Ware, daughter of the late George H. and Lorraine R. (St. Laurence) Leas.


Lorena was a mother first and foremost, putting her girls above all else. While working outside the home, as an inventory clerk at Walmart and other jobs, Lorena made many friends. She also enjoyed being a fireman's wife and fulfilling her duties on the North Brookfield Fire Women's Auxiliary, which was an honor.


She brought joy and love to everyone she met. I, Megan, proudly write this. She was a perfect mummy. She taught me how to be a mummy and not just a mother but to be a proud, strong woman. She will be missed by many and will never be forgotten, especially to those who knew her as Ma Gadbois and for treating, so many, like they were her own.


A special thanks to all of North Brookfield's Emergency Squads. They truly are first class. They cared for her as if she was their own Mom.
