Louisa Sorel

Ware - Louisa (LaFlam) Sorel, 88, of Ware, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center surrounded by her loving family.



She leaves her son, Gene R. Sorel and his wife Jill M. of Ware; her granddaughter, Juliana E.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Sorel in 2012; her sons, Paul R. and Rene E.; her brother, George R. LaFlam; and the family dog, Ellie May, whom she adored.  She was born and grew up in Orange, daughter of the late Edward  and Louisa Crawford.  Later, she moved to North Brookfield where she graduated from North Brookfield High School.



Louisa was a talented upholsterer and seamstress - a commonly used craft years ago, but hard to find today.



She was a former member of Mount Carmel and All Saints Churches in Ware.



A Graveside Service for her will be held in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in the Spring.
