Malcolm Lewis Prescott

March 26, 1941 — April 30, 2015

Ware---Malcolm  L.  Prescott,74, passed away on  Wed. April 29th at his home. He was born in Farmington ME, son of John and Evelyn (Stevens) Prescott. He leaves his wife of 46 years Donna (Soltys) Prescott, his son Todd and his wife Kelli of Gilbertville, his grandchildren Brooke Gorman and Matthew Prescott, sister Iona Minch of Clayton, Delaware, a brother Clark and his family of South Ashburnham, as well as many nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles. He was an Army veteran serving eight years from 1960 to 1968. He served in Germany, France, Fort Benning GA, Fort Lewis, Washington and Tay Ninh Vietnam. He graduated from Sudlerville, MD High School. He retired in October 2002 from the Massachusetts DOT. He had many hobbies including, rock collecting and bowling. He belonged to the Connecticut Valley Mineral Club. He was a member of many veterans groups and was a member of the Ware Community Church. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 8th at 11 AM at Aspen Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baystate Mary Lane Cancer Program, 85 South Street, Ware MA 01082 or to the Ware Community Church. Charbonneau Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
