Ware - Margaret Ann (Garde) Trombly passed away on March 9, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center after a decade long series of illnesses. A lifelong resident of Ware, MA, Peggy attended Ware High School and was a long-time banker at the former Ware Cooperative Bank.
Peggy was an avid speed reader with unbelievable comprehension, touring the world through every book she touched. In later years she was able to tour extensively through the Caribbean and Mexico, her favorites being Bonaire, N.A., and Cozumel, Mexico. She made many friends in several of the countries she visited.
Peggy was immensely proud of the accomplishments of her children. Her daughter Donna Bennett, who is a successful businesswoman in West Brookfield, MA. Her son John Lavallee, who is a business manager for Apple Inc. in Tokyo, Japan, and her daughter Jill Talamo who is a licensed physical therapist in New York.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents John & Jean (DesLauriers) Garde. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard D. Trombly. Her daughters, Donna and Gary Bennett of West Brookfield, MA, Jill and Mark Talamo of Kenmore, N.Y., and her son John and Yukie Lavallee of Tokyo, Japan. Her close cousin, like a brother, Ned and his wife Barbara Rowe of Oakland, California. Her cousin Jackie Carlson of Palmer, MA. Her in-laws, Janice Orszulak, Frank Orszulak, Roger Trombly, and Richard Dietrich.
Peggy was affectionately known as G.G. to her grandchildren. She leaves four granddaughters, Colleen Bennett, Carly Bennett Norton, Kaelin and Mia Talamo. Three great granddaughters, Isla & Lana Bennington and Reese Norton. One great grandson, Wade Norton.
Peggy would never have survived a decade of all her illnesses without the care and compassion of all her lifelong friends, especially her son-in-law Gary Bennett, Patricia Piche, Teresa Kabaniuk, Penny Nicholas and Richard Dietrich.
A Calling Hour for Peggy will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am in Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the calling hour. Burial will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ware following the service.
