Northampton / Ware - Marion G. Aughtry, 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her home in Northampton.
She was born in Ware, on March 21, 1926, daughter of the late William and Gladys (Eldredge) Aughtry. She attended Ware public schools and resided in Ware until the year 2008.
Marion was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of children, and could make the best chocolate chip cookies. She was an avid Red Sox fan who never missed watching a game on television.
She leaves her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Dominic Labato, 3 nieces and 1 nephew, as well as several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert and Samuel Aughtry and her sister Helen White.
A Graveside Service for Marion will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 10:00AM, in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Pleasant St., in Ware. There are no calling hours, and everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting her family with arrangements.
