Marion H. Lucius, 94
Holden - Marion H. (Haines) Lucius, 94, of Parker Ave., formerly of West Brookfield died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves one son, Paul V. Lucius, Jr. and his wife Mary of Bridgewater; one daughter, Karen Anderson of Holden; five grandchildren, Kimberly Wallace, Patrick Prizio, Alicia Serra, Kathryn LaRose and Rebecca Anderson; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Paul V. Lucius, a grandson, Mark Lucius and two sisters, Ethel White and Dorothy Anastasi. She was born in Lynn, daughter of the late Sydney and Edith (Estes) Haines and grew up in Salem. She lived in West Brookfield for 58 years before moving to Holden to live with her daughter in 2001.
Mrs. Lucius worked several years for a hat factory and shoe company in Ware and later worked for the former Brookfield Athletic Shoe Company in East Brookfield before retiring.
Marion was an avid sports fan and loved her Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
A Funeral Service for Marion will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield in the spring.
