Marjorie E. Emery, 91
Warren - Marjorie E. (Durand) Emery, 91, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.
She leaves one son, Thomas Emery and his wife Elaine of North Brookfield; one brother, Robert Durand and his wife Velma of Holland; two grandchildren, Michelle Blood and her husband Brian of East Brookfield and Beth Bond and her husband John of West Boylston; six great-grandchildren, Robert, Braden, Quinn, Keegan, Jared and Daniel; her longtime friend, Lester Collins of North Brookfield and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Emery, a daughter, Susan D. Mallon, a grandson, Thomas J. Emery and seven siblings. She was born in Putnam, CT daughter of the late Percy and Susan (Covell) Durand and grew up and lived most of her life in Warren and graduated from the former Warren High School.
Marjorie worked for over 20 years in the office at the former William E. Wrights Co. in West Warren before retiring in 1977.
She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Warren where she taught the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and was an active volunteer at the church.
A Funeral Mass for Marjorie will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Church in Warren. A calling hour will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Warren.
