Marlene M Routhier

August 30, 1942 — August 7, 2022

Gilbertville - Marlene M.(Ghidinelli) Routhier passed away, surrounded by the love of her family on August 7, 2022 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer at the age of 79.



She will be forever mourned by her daughter, Ann Routhier of Gilbertville and her sons,  Joe Routhier and girlfriend Monika Sudol of Ware, Christopher and wife Donna Routhier of North Brookfield, and Jim Routhier of North Brookfield. Marlene will be missed by her brother, John R. Ghidinelli and his wife Danja of Ware and sister, Mary Ellen Orzech and husband John of Ware.  She is also survived by her 9 loving grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved cocker schnoodle, Gracie. Marlene has rejoined the love her of her life, her late husband, Archie Joseph Routhier, Jr.. Marlene was born to the late John B. and Ruth (Roy) Ghidinelli on August 30, 1942 in Ware.



Marlene was a devoted wife and mother. Not only was she an amazing mother to her 4 biological children, but a "second mom" to everyone else in the neighborhood. She was also was made queen of Mount Carmel in the 1961 Bicentennial Parade. In Marlene's spare time, Marlene could be found crocheting, shopping or quietly donating to any charity that would ask.



A committal service will be held at St. Aloysius Cemetery on September 10, 2022 at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in honor of Marlene



Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting her family with arrangements.
