Worcester/Ware - Michael S. Irwin, 62, of Worcester died on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield, following a period of declining health over the past 2 years.
He leaves his mother, Claire D. (Lavigne) Irwin of Springfield; his sister, Sharon Brown of Ware; his brother, Richard Irwin and his wife Carol of Wheelwright; two aunts, Shirley Podkowka of Ware, and Jeanette Bessette of Gilbertville, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was born in Ware, son of the late Harold M. Irwin.
Mr. Irwin worked as a machine operator at the Ludlow Paper Company in Ware for several years.
Mike was a quiet person, but enjoyed his daily walks and visits to Wendy's for a coffee.
A graveside service for Michael will be held in the spring in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Ware. There are no calling hours. Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
