Michele Ann Di Martino

Michele Ann "Micky" DiMartino, of Hardwick, MA, died on Friday, October 9, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends, at age 61. She is survived by her husband Theodore, of 34 years, her son Marc and her daughter Cara, and her brother Paul. She is predeceased by her son Alexander. Micky was born on August 18, 1954 to John and Mary DiMartino in Warwick, RI. She was an immensely popular public school teacher in both the Ware and Quabbin school districts for 34 years. Teaching, for her, was not what she did; it was who she was. She always got the greatest satisfaction in reaching the most difficult students. All the years she lived in Hardwick, she was an active participant in the Hardwick Fair and was the chair of the Home Baking committee for many years. She loved reading, her garden, the beach, and her family. Micky was everyone's Italian mother, always feeding, loving, and guiding. To say that she was a feminist would be an understatement. Her strength was immeasurable, and her heart was endless. Her ebullient personality and her brilliant smile will be greatly missed by all who love her. Arrangements will be carried out by the Charbonneau Funeral Home located in Ware, MA. A graveside ceremony will be held on October 24 at the Hardwick Cemetery on 32A at 10:30 AM.
