Ware - Mildred T. Rohan, 95, of Ware died on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
She leaves her brother, Richard B. Rohan and his wife Martha of Ware, niece, Maeve O'Brien, nephews, Sean Rohan, Cullen Rohan, and Eric Kmiec; niece, Donna Colume and many great nieces and great nephews. Milly Also leaves her Constant companion her beloved dog of 12 years, Nikko. Mildred was predeceased by her daughter, Paula Jamilowski, her brother, Donald Rohan and her sister, Catherine Kmiec. She was born in Enfield, MA, daughter of the late William and Mabel (Clark) Rohan.
Milly was the last in her family to go to elementary school in Enfield, MA. They were one of the last families to leave the Quabbin. Her father and uncles worked in the Quabbin until they left in 1939. Her childhood home was moved from the Quabbin to Palmer Road in Ware where she lived for many years.
She worked at the Monson Development Center.
Milly was a member of Ware Knitters and the Naratowicz Club for many years. She was also a member of the All Saint's Church.
The family gives special thanks to Cullen Rohan and her good friend Jack Jamilowski for their care and support of Milly over the many years.
A graveside service for Mildred will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00am in the Old St. William Cemetery, West Street in Ware. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Adoption Center, 111 Young Rd, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
