Norman A. Vigneault, 88

West Brookfield - Norman A. Vigneault, 88, of Chapman Ave., formerly of North Brookfield died Tuesday, May 19, 2015.



He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Domenica A. (Sottile) Vigneault; three children, Norman R. and his fiancé Diana of Spencer, Leonard J. and his wife Cara of Southbridge and Paulette of North Brookfield; two special granddaughters, Angela of Spencer and Caroline of Southbridge; a sister, Aline Murphy and friend Tom Burns of Dudley and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Adlard and Alma (Morin) Vigneault and grew up in New Braintree and lived 44 years in North Brookfield before moving to West Brookfield.  He attended New Braintree Elementary School and North Brookfield High School.



Norman worked for over 25 years as a truck driver for the Quabaug Corporation in North Brookfield before retiring in 1990.



Before entering the service Norman took flying lessons at Hiller Airport for several years and then joined the United States Army and served at Fort Dix and Fort Williams in the transport division.



He was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in West Brookfield and enjoyed bowling and traveling to all 50 states.  Norman looked forward to being with family, getting caught up with events and activities of his two granddaughters, going to plays, following the Red Sox games and visiting with friends.



Calling hours for Norman will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in West Brookfield.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
