Normand A. Dube

September 18, 1934 — June 7, 2020

Ware - Normand A. Dube, 85, of Ware died on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Willimansett Center West - Chicopee, after a long illness. He was born in St. Hermenegilde, Quebec on September 18, 1934, the 12th of 13 children of the late Antoine and Agnes (Godbout) Dube.



He leaves his loving wife, Cecile (Valade) Dube of Ware; his daughter, Nancy Swett and her husband James, of Hardwick;  his son, Richard Dube of Ware; and his step-daughter, Johanne Laroche and her husband Guy, of Quebec; four grandchildren, Alyssa Chaves and her husband Alex, Sean Swett, Marie-Eve Laroche and Sebastien Laroche.



He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Ferrier (Florine) Dube, Adrienne Sage, and Yolande Larochelle, all of Quebec, and Rodolphe Dube of Springfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.



He was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters, Leopold Dube, Laurier Dube, Sylvio Dube, Claude Dube, Laurina Audet, Fabiola Bennett, Annette Sideleau, and Lilliane Salois.



Normand was a member of Local Union 108 of Springfield, the Knights of Columbus of Ware, and the Aspen St. Rod and Gun Club of Ware.



He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed going deep sea and ice fishing, woodworking, making stained glass lamps and other beautiful items, and traveling to Canada to visit his family.



A Private Graveside Service for Normand will be held in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Ware.  Memorial donations may be made to the Ware Senior Center, 1 Robbins Road, Ware, MA, 01082, make check payable to the Town of Ware with Senior Center on the memo line.



Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
