WEST BROOKFIELD: Paul G. Caron, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Julie R. (Tarbell) Caron; his daughter, Jennifer Caron and her spouse Scott Babinski of Dandridge, TN; his brother, Robert Caron and his spouse Deann "Dede" of New Braintree; his stepchildren: Janie Prevost and her spouse Thomas of Southwick, Beth Thibeault of Rutland and Ronald Allen of Boylston; his grandchildren: Garrett, Courtney, Faith, Clayton and Max; a great-granddaughter, Cooper; his sister-in-law, Concetta "Connie" Caron of Sturbridge; his brother-in-law, Peter Tarbell and his spouse Jean of Vero Beach, FL; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His siblings, Ronald Caron and Jacqueline Chaisson predeceased him.
Paul was born in Worcester and raised in the Brookfields, the son of the late Ovide and Claire (Benoit) Caron. He attended Tantasqua Regional High School before serving his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, and was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea during his tenure, traveling between Greece, France, and Italy. He was awarded the expert badge for the M14 rifle. He was the longtime owner and operator of Paul Caron's Carpet Installation, serving all of Worcester County until his retirement in 2006. His hobbies included training and showing Morgan horses with his daughter Jennifer; they attended many shows all over the country. When he was younger, he and his brothers loved racing cars. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. Later in life, he and Julie bought a home in Florida where they would spend their winters and enjoy their golden years together. All who knew and loved Paul will miss him dearly.
