Phyllis E. (Kulig) Jastrzebski, 97, of Ware passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born in Chicopee, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Soja) Kulig. Phyllis was predeceased in 2010 by her beloved husband, Michael as well as her sisters, Helen Kieltyka, Stella Teehan and Sophie Piela, and brothers Walter, Frank and Stanley Kulig. She is survived by her five loving daughters, Mary Iannarone of Clarkston, Michigan, Regina Rivers and her husband Donald of Palmer, Lisa Socha and her husband Stephen of Ware, Felicia Jastrzebski of Goffstown, New Hampshire, Kathryn Yabroudy and her husband David of Amherst, New Hampshire and her brother Joseph Kulig of Chicopee. She also leaves her ten cherished Grandchildren, and eight Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis started her career at Prudential Insurance where she worked as an administrative assistant for many years. She later worked for the Army & Navy store which she and Mike owned, followed by her time at Ware Knitters. In her free time, Phyllis was an avid reader, loved polka dancing, taking trips to the Casino, but most of all she loved going to the beach. She looked forward to her family visiting Fort Myers Beach where she and her husband had previously resided for 13 years. She was a devoted parishioner of Holy Cross Parish and was a member of the Chopin Choir. She volunteered many hours making polish food for a variety of church functions.
Calling hours for Phyllis will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24th, at Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street Ware, MA 01082. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ware Library (YMLA), 37 Main St., Ware, MA 01082 or Holy Cross Parish, 61 Maple St., Ware, MA 01082. The family would like to thank her special caregivers at Cedarbrook Village and Brookhaven Hospice.
