Ware – Rebecca H. “Becky” Shea, 48, of Ware, died suddenly on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, in Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.
She leaves her husband of 28 years, Timothy R. Shea and their son, Brennan Shea. She also leaves her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Glidden of Palmer; her niece Aliyah Gaskell and her partner Nick Demitrius, and their 2 daughters, Cali and Macie who Becky loved very much. Her brother, Jeremy Gaskell and his wife Kim and their 2 children Jacob and Jordan who also had a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind many close friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Gaskell, recently in August 2024.
Becky worked as a salesperson for Kay Jewelers first in the former Eastfield Mall and then the Holyoke Mall for 25 years. She loved helping customers find just the right jewelry pieces and enjoyed being with her coworkers.
Becky immensely enjoyed Halloween and she and Tim always had some of the biggest and scariest Halloween decorations on their street. Kids would flood in to see the 12-foot-tall skeletons, show off their costumes, and get some candy that Becky would be handing out to them. Tim recalls all the memories from their many trips to Ocean Mist in South Yarmouth. Becky would sit on the beach in her chair under the umbrella and watch as Brennan would play in the water for hours. It was a quiet peaceful place she and Tim enjoyed very much. She also enjoyed just sitting on the front porch at home with her neighbors and friends Cory and Michelle Kibbe. They would just ramble on about whatever came to mind and always shared a lot of laughs together.
A Funeral Service for Becky will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 7PM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7PM in the Funeral Home prior to the service.
