Belchertown---Regine  Leonie (Camus)  Ducharme, 95, of 133 Jabish St. passed away March 25th in West Brookfield.She was the wife of the late Edmond Ducharme. She leaves her son Georges Ducharme and his wife June of Ware, a daughter Jeanne Marie Skaza and her husband Alan of Belchertown, a sister Marthe Gillain in Belgium, her grandchildren Pamela Ducharme, Michelle White, Robert Ducharme and Eric Skaza, and her great grandchildren Kristen Mascitis, Brielle and Brian White and Ethan and Jackson Skaza. She was predeceased by her siblings Jacques and Georges Camus and Marguerite Pironnet.

She was born in Stavelot Belgium and grew up in Malmedy. She was a graduate of College des Fillles de la Croix in Belgium. Regine came to Ware in 1946 and lived there for many years before moving to Belchertown. A long time French teacher she began her career at the former Mt. Carmel School, later teaching at Northampton High School for ten years, then at Ware Jr. High School, retiring in1981.

She was a communicant of St. Francis Assisi Church, and of the Former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, and was also a member of the Mass. Teachers Assoc.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 1st  at 10:30 am in All Saints Church North St. in Ware. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Charbonneau Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to WestMass Elder Care, 4 Valley Mill Rd. Holyoke MA 01040.
